What is the key to success in the program?

For the project to be successful it is imperative that it is objective, fair and transparent. This is achieved in the following manner:

  1. The assessment of researchers is conducted by an expert assessor (not Unilever CMI team) . The expert assessors are experienced qual researchers with impeccable credentials and credibility in the market.
  2. The final decision is made by Unilever based on the assessor’s feedback and recommendation, plus the Accreditation Boards’ collective opinion. The board is made up of CMI Senior Directors plus consultants who have worked on the Global process (including Rebecca Wynberg). This ensures a consistency of standards across the markets and helps to underpin our principles of objectivity, fairness and transparency

The criteria for assessment have been worked out using the definition of gold standard and are discussed with the researchers before they go through the assessment process
